Did you know that even though the UK has a great climate for growing crops in greenhouses, that 7 out of every 10 tomatoes that we eat have been grown overseas?
Thanet Earth has been built to help Britain to grow more of its own food.
The peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes we grow have been produced using technology that helps us control the conditions inside the greenhouses. This helps us make our plants much more productive than plants you might have in a greenhouse at home or at school. They've also been produced in a way that isn't damaging to the environment. Learn about our rainwater harvesting, how we use insects instead of pesticides, and why we don't use soil by clicking here.
Our business wouldn't work without having such great people in our team at Thanet Earth. There are careers in our world that offer opportunities in all kinds of areas - from growing the plants and managing the packing factory through to negotiating with the supermarkets, looking after all our buildings and looking for a new great-tasting tomato. Meet our team here.
